A special release from the Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series, this 2025 Distillery Exclusive celebrates the art of stave finishing with a bold and complex take on their classic wheated bourbon. Developed in partnership with the Independent Stave Company, this limited-edition expression is finished with 10 seasoned and toasted French oak staves (Stave profile: SB 5-2) and matured in Maker’s signature limestone cellar.

Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof), this bourbon amplifies the signature richness of Maker’s Mark with added depth from the toasted oak. Expect a darker, more spiced profile with notes of baking spice, chocolate, and warm vanilla. Non-chill filtered for maximum flavor integrity.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Toasted oak, vanilla, and brown sugar

  • Palate: Dark chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, and subtle caramel

  • Finish: Long and warming with layered baking spice and charred oak

How to Enjoy:

  • Neat or with a drop of water to open up the toasted oak layers

  • Excellent for slow sipping or pairing with a cigar

  • Elevates a classic Old Fashioned with added oak complexity
