Time brings change, just ask folks in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Muhlenberg was once known for its abundance of coal, and for the hard-working miners who spent their lives digging it out of the ground. In the earliest days, they would work countless hours in cramped tunnels, using hand tools to chip away at the seam. They would hand load carts deep in the earth, using big, stubborn mules to haul the coal up and out into the light.
